Responsibilities

Perform simulated outside plant maintenance and repair
Maintain and repair wires, coax, and fiber from hub sites to customer connection points
Monitor, locate, report, and remediate signal leakage per company and regulatory standards
Perform proactive and reactive maintenance
Oversee inside plant operations and compliance
Install, configure, and operate legacy and new headend equipment
Conduct daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly testing and logging per company guidelines
Ensure cabling, equipment installation, power, and cooling meet corporate standards
Maintain logs, records, and documentation to comply with company and FCC requirements
Manage advanced field installations and enterprise support
Survey, install, configure, and maintain complex network products for large enterprise clients
Implement large multi-site projects, configure edge devices, and support optical connections
Collaborate with technical support personnel for advanced troubleshooting
Perform engineering support and continuous improvement
Provide engineering and operational support for new and existing technologies
Create, submit, and implement approved methods of procedure (MOPs) and change requests
Develop and implement network enhancements and reliability improvements
Participate in cross-functional collaboration
Coordinate with peer organizations to ensure optimal network performance
Communicate clearly with employees, customers, in person, by phone, and in writing

Required

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or related field
3+ years headend technician experience
Valid course completion from NCTI Fiber Installation and Activation within 6 months
Certifications such as NCTI Master Technician, HFC Networks, SCTE Business Class Service Specialist, Cisco CCENT or CCNA
Telecomm install and maintenance experience
