Responsibilities
The role holder will be responsible for providing technical, administrative, and junior legal support to the Cross Product Margining, and Rates Treasury businesses in North America and Latin America
The role holder will be required to support the Covered Business on transactions, regulatory reviews and research, including by answering questions from the business relating to contract negotiation status and interpretation of standard contract terms (including related to the Master Repurchase Agreement and the Global Master Repurchase Agreement), to have an understanding of the mechanics of Repo and Rates transactions and to draft standard terms for initial document customization
The role holder will be required to have highly developed oral and written communication skills
The role holder should have a positive attitude, be open to learning new skills and taking on new types of assignments
Qualification
Required
Provide technical, administrative, and junior legal support to the Cross Product Margining, and Rates Treasury businesses in North America and Latin America
Support the Covered Business on transactions, regulatory reviews and research
Answer questions from the business relating to contract negotiation status and interpretation of standard contract terms
Understand the mechanics of Repo and Rates transactions
Draft standard terms for initial document customization
Have highly developed oral and written communication skills
Have a positive attitude, be open to learning new skills and taking on new types of assignments
Strong understanding of best contracting practices
Ability to monitor new developments in contracting practices and processes
Extreme attention to detail and the ability to accurately communicate data
Respond to contract-related and other requests promptly
Provide effective services or solutions for internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrate attention to detail; refined ability to spot errors and inconsistencies
Ability to work in a fast paced, cross-functional team atmosphere
Preferred
Between 5 to 7 years paralegal experience in finance, restructuring or derivatives and securities financing experience obtained at a top tier US law firm or other equivalent financial institutions
Excellent written and oral communication skills
