This role involves working closely with IT system owners and Internal Audit to ensure compliance with SOX requirements and effective IT General Controls.

Responsibilities
Lead the design, documentation, and implementation of IT internal controls for all SOX in-scope systems and applications
Develop and maintain SOX IT control documentation, including:
Control descriptions
Risk Control Matrices (RCMs)
System architecture and data flow diagrams
SOX IT control requirement documents
Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of existing IT controls, including ITGCs and automated application controls
Identify control gaps, assess risks, and provide guidance on the design of new or enhanced controls to address deficiencies
Coordinate SOX and ITGC-related activities with:
IT system owners
Business and functional control owners
Internal Audit and external auditors
Support SOX scoping, walkthroughs, testing readiness, and remediation efforts
Act as a trusted advisor on SOX, IT risk, and internal control best practices
Ensure alignment of IT controls with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and audit standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field
6+ years of experience in SOX compliance, IT internal controls, or IT audit
Strong knowledge of SOX requirements
Strong knowledge of IT General Controls (access, change management, operations)
Strong knowledge of application controls and system integrations
Proven experience designing and documenting IT controls and RCMs
Experience working with Internal Audit and external auditors
Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred
CISA, CPA, CIA, or equivalent certification preferred
