Responsibilities
Define and manage the product vision, roadmap, and priorities for the Member Portal and Mobile App across brands and lines of business
Own and prioritize a backlog spanning vendor configuration, API/integration work, and SDK-based mobile features
Lead requirements discovery with business, operations, compliance, and service teams; translate needs into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
Partner closely with vendor delivery teams and internal engineering in an Agile/Hybrid environment to drive coordinated delivery
Ensure alignment of digital experiences with payer operations and core systems (eligibility, benefits, claims, provider data, authorizations)
Collaborate with UX using Figma to review designs, ensure accessibility (WCAG), and maintain consistency across web and mobile
Work with Program and Release Management to manage dependencies, milestones, UAT, and go-live readiness
Balance regulatory, operational, and technical constraints while keeping member experience front and center
Use analytics, member feedback, and operational metrics (e.g., call deflection, self-service completion) to guide prioritization and continuous improvement
Communicate clearly with executives and stakeholders on roadmap, scope tradeoffs, risks, and delivery status
Qualification
Required
7+ years of experience in Digital Product Management, with significant ownership of portals and/or mobile apps
Direct healthcare payer experience required (health plan, payer technology vendor, or closely related healthcare platforms)
Proven experience working in vendor-led platform implementations with configurable products and contractual scope constraints
Experience delivering or managing SDK-based components and coordinating native app release cycles
Strong product fundamentals: roadmapping, backlog management, user stories, and Agile/Hybrid delivery across hybrid models
Hands-on experience with Jira for backlog and sprint management
Hands-on experience with Confluence for documentation and decision tracking
Hands-on experience with Figma for design review and collaboration
Solid understanding of payer workflows and data flows: eligibility, claims, provider directories, member communications
Strong communication skills — able to translate between business, compliance, vendors, and engineering teams
Comfortable operating in complex, matrixed healthcare organizations with evolving processes
