Senior Superintendent

They are seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to oversee day-to-day onsite operations, lead field teams, and serve as the primary onsite interface with clients and subcontractors, ensuring projects are executed safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities
Oversee and supervise all field crew members including foremen, carpenters, laborers, and other craft team members
Develop project site logistics plans and collaborate with the Project Manager to determine construction methods and sequencing
Conduct daily site walks, enforce safety protocols, and ensure compliance with project specifications
Identify and resolve construction issues by coordinating with engineering personnel, inspectors, suppliers, and subcontractors
Support and enforce company safety standards with strong knowledge of OSHA requirements
Build and maintain strong working relationships with owners, subcontractors, and vendors
Serve as the primary onsite representative for the client, providing consistent updates and addressing concerns proactively
Schedule subcontractors, pump trucks, and deliveries according to the project schedule
Inspect and verify receipt and shipment of materials
Read and interpret plans, drawings, specifications, DOT standards, and scopes of work
Assist Project Engineers with the shop drawing and submittal process
Assist with documenting daily progress, productivity, and site conditions
Provide support to the Estimating Department during bidding opportunities and preconstruction activities
Qualification
Required
10+ years of related experience with large-scale commercial, design-build, multi-family, or industrial/heavy civil construction operations
Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing
Proficient in Outlook, Excel, and Word; experience with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.) is a plus
Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents
Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage crews and subcontractors
OSHA 30-hour certification preferred
Ability to walk, stand, and move around construction sites for extended periods
Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and temporary structures as required
Must be able to navigate uneven terrain and active work zones
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
Tolerance for outdoor job site conditions (heat, cold, rain, dust)
