Compliance Analyst
Novilla RNG is a nationwide developer of Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) projects. The Compliance Analyst role is critical for ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting data tracking, and reporting across various clean fuel programs, while also offering opportunities for growth into senior compliance or regulatory leadership roles.

Responsibilities
Prepare, review, and submit compliance reports to government agencies and registries (e.g., EPA, CARB, IRS, Environment Canada, state agencies)
Maintain accurate compliance records for RNG production, environmental attributes, and credit programs
Track regulatory deadlines, submission requirements, and documentation standards across multiple programs
Support audits, verifications, and information requests from regulators and third-party verifiers
Build, maintain, and audit Excel-based compliance trackers, mass-balance models, and production reconciliations
Analyze production, CI data, and operational metrics to ensure consistency across reporting platforms
Identify discrepancies, data gaps, and compliance risks and proactively resolve issues
Ensure strong version control, documentation, and audit trails for all compliance files
Work with operations, engineering, finance, and external consultants to gather and validate required data
Translate regulatory requirements into clear internal processes and controls
Assist in developing and improving internal compliance workflows and SOPs
Learn new RNG-related regulatory programs in depth as they emerge
Monitor regulatory updates and help assess operational or reporting impacts
Support implementation of new compliance programs and reporting structures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Accounting, Economics, Environmental Science, or a related field
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivot tables, formulas; Power Query or VBA a plus)
Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to manage complex, data-heavy processes
Highly organized with excellent documentation and file-management skills
Comfortable working with government agencies, auditors, and external stakeholders
Ability to learn complex regulatory frameworks quickly and apply them accurately
Strong written and verbal communication skills
