Accounting Assistant
LHH is working with a thriving, fast-growing company based in Little Ferry, NJ, and they’re looking for a motivated Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Assistant to join their team. The role involves supporting daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, payments, and receivables.
Responsibilities
Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payments
Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and payment tracking
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Apply customer payments and follow up on outstanding balances
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Assist with month-end closing activities
Communicate with vendors and internal teams as needed
Support other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned
Qualification
Required
Prior hands-on experience with both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (required)
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Strong communication and time-management skills
High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is a plus
Preferred
