Responsibilities
Participate in detailed design sessions and contribute to architectural decisions
Develop and maintain server-side applications using J2EE
Build Java APIs to supply data to eTrade.com
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Users, Business Analysts, and QA teams
Mentor junior team members and drive innovation within the team
Ensure code quality through rigorous testing and adherence to best practices
Qualification
Required
10-15 years of experience in building server-side applications using J2EE
Excellent Java and Multithreading programming skills
Strong design skills, including experience with Design Patterns (GOF)
Proficiency with MVC frameworks like Spring and web services (REST)
Experience with Agile Methodology (Scrum)
Proficient with databases, particularly DB2
Knowledge of Application Servers such as Tomcat and Websphere
Unix or Linux development and working knowledge
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a global team environment
Preferred
Experience with GIT, TeamCity, and IBM MQ
Knowledge of IBM UDB/DB2
UI skills such as JavaScript, AngularJS, React, and HTML5 (optional)
Exposure to the financial industry
