Responsibilities
Monitoring and communicating material risks including credit, liquidity, tail risk, and convexity
Setting and enforcing portfolio-level and firmwide risk guidelines
Developing and enhancing stress-testing and VaR frameworks
Building capital allocation methodologies to optimize risk-adjusted returns
Partnering with trading teams through regular reviews, analysis, and insights
Leading research initiatives to advance risk tools, analytics, and frameworks
Creating intuitive performance attribution models for senior stakeholders
Supporting broader Macro risk oversight
Mentoring and managing quantitative analysts
Qualification
Required
5+ years' experience as a Risk Manager or Portfolio Manager covering U.S. and European power & gas markets
Deep knowledge of energy products, pricing models, and portfolio risk aggregation
Strong understanding of trading, portfolio construction, and market risk
Advanced SQL and quantitative programming skills (Python, MATLAB, or R)
Experience working closely with portfolio managers in fast-paced environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
