Responsibilities

Support the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise-level databases

Support database development projects through scripting

Participate in physical database design

Ensure secure, high-performing, and resilient database environments

Perform installations, upgrades, backups, and ongoing operational support

Qualification

Required

4+ years with Oracle on Linux

Experience with high‑availability architectures (Always On, Windows Clustering, Oracle RAC) and standby database setups (Always On/DataGuard)

Strong SQL, PL/SQL, PowerShell, and Unix shell scripting; Java/Perl a plus

Hands‑on performance tuning for MS SQL/Oracle and experience with backup tools (RMAN/TSM)

Familiarity with database monitoring tools, logical/physical design, and platforms such as Oracle Exadata, IBM‑DB2, and GoldenGate

Ability to learn quickly, work under guidance, communicate effectively, and deliver strong customer service

Solid analytical, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional collaboration skills

Willingness to participate in a 24x7x365 on‑call rotation

Preferred

Exposure to Snowflake and AWS database services (RDS, Aurora, Redshift, DMS, S3)
