Senior LevelMaviTech Professional Services LLC is seeking an experienced Pressure Vessel Design Engineer to support the design and fabrication of a pressurized system for an electric commercial pressure fryer. The engineer will take ownership of the pressure-containing portion of the appliance, ensuring it is designed correctly, safely, and in compliance with applicable standards for commercial foodservice equipment.

Responsibilities
Lead the design of the pressurized vessel/system used in an electric pressure fryer
Define pressure boundaries, materials, wall thicknesses, seals, and safety features
Support design-for-fabrication, including manufacturability and assembly considerations
Ensure designs align with UL and NSF certification requirements
Collaborate with industrial designers and product engineers on system integration
Review risks and failure modes associated with pressure, temperature, and operation
Provide technical guidance during prototype build and iteration
Qualification
Required
Direct pressure vessel design experience (required)
Strong background designing pressurized mechanical systems used in real-world, safety-critical applications
Solid understanding of UL and NSF standards (or strong experience designing to regulated consumer/commercial products)
Proven ability to design systems that can be safely fabricated and certified
Experience working as an independent contractor or on short-term product development projects
Preferred
Experience with commercial foodservice equipment, appliances, or thermal systems
Familiarity with stress analysis or FEA (not required, but a plus)
Hands-on experience supporting prototype builds and validation testing
