Director of Global Evidence Strategy & Outcomes Research

SoTalent is seeking a Director of Global Evidence Strategy & Outcomes Research to shape and deliver evidence strategies for global assets. The successful candidate will lead real-world and patient-focused research initiatives that demonstrate therapeutic value and ensure evidence generation aligns with product strategy.

Responsibilities

Act as a core member of cross-functional product teams, contributing evidence-based insights to development and lifecycle strategies
Provide subject-matter leadership on real-world evidence and patient-centered value from early development through launch and beyond
Shape integrated evidence plans that align scientific, regulatory, and commercial priorities
Lead cross-functional evidence sub-teams composed of global, regional, and local stakeholders
Design and oversee comprehensive evidence strategies covering RWE and outcomes research
Ensure local and regional evidence needs are addressed while maintaining global strategic coherence
Direct the planning, delivery, and interpretation of a broad range of studies, including:
Observational and database studies
Systematic literature reviews and meta-analyses
Indirect treatment comparisons
Synthetic or external control arms
Predictive modeling and advanced analytics
Ensure all research activities meet high scientific, ethical, and methodological standards
Translate complex evidence into clear, compelling insights for internal leadership and external audiences
Support regulatory submissions, labeling discussions, access dossiers, and payer communications
Present findings through publications, congresses, and external forums as appropriate
Select and manage external research partners to ensure quality, relevance, and timely delivery
Oversee contracts, budgets, and annual planning for assigned products or disease areas
Contribute to governance discussions and internal decision-making forums
Build external networks to stay current on evolving methodologies and best practices
May directly manage team members depending on portfolio size and scope

Required

Doctoral degree (e.g., PhD, ScD, DrPH) in a relevant discipline such as health outcomes research, epidemiology, public health, economics, statistics, decision sciences, or related field, with extensive applied experience
or
Master's degree in a related field with substantial additional professional experience
Significant hands-on experience conducting outcomes research, RWE, and/or COA studies across academic, industry, government, or research organizations
Prior experience supporting drug development programs; launch experience is a strong advantage
Demonstrated leadership of complex, multi-study research portfolios
Deep understanding of observational research methods and their role in development and commercialization
Ability to anticipate and address regulatory and payer evidence expectations
Proven capability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
Strong scientific writing, presentation, and data interpretation skills
Comfortable leading cross-functional teams without formal authority
Strong influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
Effective communicator in multicultural, matrixed environments
This role requires regular domestic and international travel, estimated at 25–50%, depending on portfolio needs and project phase
