Responsibilities
Act as the lead mechanical technical contact for assigned construction and commissioning projects
Review and verify foundation work, alignment, leveling, seating plates, and grouting activities
Oversee installation of gas turbines, auxiliaries, generators, and related systems
Supervise piping systems, SSS clutches, thrust bearings, lube oil, and control oil systems
Ensure correct application of thermal insulation and adherence to installation standards
Review, revise, and develop erection and commissioning procedures as required
Track daily site activities and manage Project Action Requests (PARs)
Organize and participate in weekly project calls to address progress and technical issues
Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, field teams, suppliers, and contractors
Review drawings for completeness, accuracy, and alignment between manufacturer and company documentation
Ensure construction practices comply with applicable codes, industry standards, procedures, and contract requirements
Support timely resolution of PARs and RFIs in collaboration with engineering, quality, suppliers, and supply chain
Represent the project support organization in meetings to drive successful project outcomes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
7+ years of experience with gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators
10+ years of experience in power plant design, installation, or commissioning
Strong knowledge of simple cycle, combined cycle, and combined heat & power systems
Strong knowledge of single-shaft and multi-shaft power train configurations and auxiliaries
Proven ability to independently develop installation and commissioning procedures
Experience resolving complex technical issues, PARs, and RFIs related to power train equipment
Demonstrated expertise in power train components and system-level troubleshooting
