Responsibilities
Design & Build Advanced Data Pipelines: Develop scalable data engineering and data science pipelines to support AI models and business applications, including energy storage optimization and market strategy , using Azure, Databricks, and Spark
DataOps & MLOps Ownership: Own routine DataOps and MLOps workflows , supporting full ML lifecycle management from data ingestion through deployment and monitoring
Energy Trading & Real-Time Analytics: Maintain and enhance real-time trading and analytics tools , delivering reliable, actionable data to trading desks and operations teams
Applied Data Science & Modeling: Apply strong mathematical, statistical, and software engineering skills to assess data quality, model structure, hyperparameters, and outputs
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with engineering, finance, trading, and operations to deliver high-impact data and analytics solutions
Translate Complexity into Insight: Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders to support strategic and commercial decision-making
Innovation & Research: Stay current with emerging trends in data engineering, AI/ML, and energy storage , incorporating new approaches where they create competitive advantage
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field
2+ years of full stack software development
Strong proficiency in Python and PySpark
Hands-on experience with Databricks and Spark
Experience working in cloud environments (Azure preferred)
Strong understanding of data profiling, data quality, and statistical methods
Experience managing ML and data projects across the full lifecycle using DevOps, DataOps, and MLOps best practices
Preferred
2+ years in data engineering and/or machine learning
Experience with Visual Basic and Excel-based automation
Exposure to Hadoop, big data ecosystems, or real-time data systems
Full stack development exposure (frontend + backend preferred)
Energy markets, power markets, or infrastructure optimization
Energy storage (BESS), renewable energy, or energy trading highly valued
