Lead Test Engineer

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all aspects of subassembly testing efforts within the Forest MS Factory for AAS Production, Development and Sustainment
Monitor system-level test performance to identify trends within the Forest MS Production Factory
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during testing, working closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams
Drive efficiency and effectiveness in test processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions
Ensure proper configuration and calibration of test equipment, tools, and facilities
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to test engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
Maintain and update technical documentation, including test reports, engineering change requests, and troubleshooting guides
Support program reviews, serving as the primary technical liaison for Forest Engineering activities
Ensure compliance with RTX lifecycle program management (RLPM), Checkpoint Gated Process requirements, and applicable standards

Required

Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 8 years of relevant experience
Experience with radar systems, subassembly testing and/or system-level testing
Experience with automated and/or manual test equipment, troubleshooting, and/or diagnostics
Leadership experience
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Preferred

Experience in testing, integration, or production support within the aerospace, defense, or related industry
Previous experience supporting large-scale radar programs or similar complex systems
Familiarity with production environments and manufacturing processes
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Proficiency in test data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, LabVIEW) and test management systems
Master's degree in Engineering
