Responsibilities

Accountable for execution of facilities engineering activities (for the assigned discipline) in support to front-end planning and execution of capital projects
Lead technical inputs/activities for capital front end planning of potential project opportunities introducing new / advanced facilities engineering technologies; lead technical ownership (for the assigned discipline) of facility site master planning, long range planning, tech maps, feasibility studies, and scope definition
Provide technical leadership on capital projects introducing new / advanced facilities engineering technologies and ensure capital projects align with facilities engineering technical standards and requirements via design reviews and site confirmations
Support technical assessment on any new or revised business development opportunities
Ensure that reliability is integrated into the design, construction, and operation of new facilities, equipment, and systems
Responsible for leading facilities engineering initiatives for the assigned discipline across business unit / functions and externally (Regulatory / Outsourced Partners)
Provides engineering support within the assigned facilities engineering discipline for global manufacturing operations and facilities, both internal and external
Provides day-to-day technical oversight for junior engineers within the Global Engineering & Facilities organization
Provides collaborative technical leadership as part of the Global Engineering & Facilities team, and in other cross-functional teams (e.g. Site Engineering & Facilities)

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Architectural or Chemical Engineering. Other engineering related disciplines may be considered
A minimum of 7 years' experience in Facilities Engineering in Biotech, Pharma or equivalent industry
Expertise in Facilities Engineering discipline including asset lifecycle management practices; specifically, engineering / facility best practices, reliability engineering, engineering document management, computerized maintenance management, and commissioning/qualification/validation
Expert knowledge and application of PDMA, FDA and EMEA regulations
Foundational knowledge of applicable codes including but not limited to IBC, IFC, NFPA, NEC, etc
Excellent leadership, people management, organization, communication, and inter-personal skills
Advanced ability to influence individuals at both site and enterprise level
Strong communication and presentation skills
Expert understanding of asset lifecycle data analytic concepts and methods
Already established network of technical leaders, peers, and stakeholders in life science industry; actively participates in industry forums, etc
