Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations across Detector Wafer, ROIC Wafer, Focal Planes, and Thin Film Labs while developing and executing strategies to reduce lead times, improve throughput, and enhance overall production efficiency
Will foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing lean manufacturing principles and ensuring alignment with takt time to meet production demands
Will work closely with supervisors and program teams to identify and resolve production bottlenecks, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track capacity utilization, and drive operational improvements
Will lead preparation efforts for internal, customer, and external audits, ensuring compliance with RTX quality, safety, and regulatory standards
Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for emergency response and coordinating with cross-functional teams to efficiently manage and resolve critical incidents

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience
Experience in Manufacturing/Operations environment

Preferred

Proven experience in lead time reduction, capacity planning, and takt time alignment within a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment
Background in semiconductor or advanced technology production
Familiarity with audit processes and regulatory compliance requirements
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience in focal plane array or semiconductor manufacturing
Certification in Lean Six Sigma or related continuous improvement methodologies
Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and managing high-stakes operational challenges
