Responsibilities
Analyze and interpret U.S. regulatory reporting instructions and Federal Reserve guidance, with a focus on report- and product-specific requirements
Develop, enhance, and maintain formal documentation of regulatory rule interpretations, assumptions, and governance decisions
Assess existing internal interpretations and governance processes; identify gaps, inconsistencies, or areas requiring enhancement
Support the design and execution of regulatory reporting governance frameworks, including interpretation review, approval, and change management processes
Partner with Regulatory Reporting, Finance, Risk, and Governance stakeholders to align on interpretations and ensure consistent application across reports
Prepare analytical materials, position papers, and governance documentation for senior management and regulatory forums
Communicate complex regulatory concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Participate in regulatory and internal examinations by supporting interpretation rationale and documentation requests
Contribute to regulatory reporting transformation initiatives from a governance and interpretation perspective (not automation or testing)
Qualification
Required
Strong experience in regulatory reporting governance, rule interpretation, or regulatory advisory roles within large financial institutions or consulting environments
Deep knowledge of U.S. regulatory reporting requirements for banks and FBOs, including Federal Reserve reports
Extensive report-specific or product-specific expertise, enabling independent interpretation of regulatory instructions and guidance
Proven ability to interpret Federal Reserve guidance and translate it into clear, well-structured internal documentation
Experience designing or enhancing governance processes related to regulatory reporting, interpretation management, or policy frameworks
Excellent written communication and documentation skills, with the ability to produce clear, audit-ready analytical materials
Strong stakeholder management skills and comfort communicating with senior management
Solid understanding of banking products and financial reporting concepts as they relate to regulatory reporting
Team-oriented mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
