Senior LevelUnited Pharma is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to provide hands-on BAS/EMS support at an active site in California. This role focuses on Siemens Desigo programming, field execution, troubleshooting, and ensuring system readiness for operational milestones.

Responsibilities
Provide hands-on BAS/EMS support for an operational site, with a primary focus on preparing Building 2 for an end-of-May milestone
Perform Siemens Desigo programming and configuration updates , including point modifications to support operational readiness
Execute field-level controls work , including point-to-point verification from instrument to panel to software
Validate wiring and signals using a multimeter as required
Troubleshoot and resolve controls, integration, and communication issues , assess system gaps, and implement corrective actions
Configure, optimize, and validate system trends and alarms , including alarm rationalization to reduce nuisance alarms while maintaining reliability
Support system go-live activities in May , including participation in qualification and documentation efforts related to system modifications
Collaborate closely with site stakeholders, engineering teams, and Siemens vendors to ensure successful execution
Qualification
Required
Strong hands-on experience with Siemens Desigo programming and configuration for BAS/EMS systems
Solid controls field execution experience, including point-to-point checkout
Wiring validation
Instrument-to-panel-to-software verification
Proven troubleshooting skills in the field, including use of multimeters and diagnostic tools
Experience with point modifications, trend setup, and alarm configuration/rationalization
Working knowledge of BAS/EMS communication protocols and system integrations
Ability to support system changes through go-live, including qualification support in a regulated environment
Preferred
Direct hands-on experience with Siemens Desigo BAS/EMS systems is strongly preferred
Candidates with Siemens Step 7 experience will also be considered if Desigo experience is limited
