The New York Mets are seeking a talented and highly motivated Associate to join the Finance Department on a fixed-term assignment. This position will support the finance function by providing financial analysis and reporting, along with various administrative tasks, while gaining exposure to Finance leadership and key organizational positions.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of financial reports, presentations and analysis
Assist in the preparation of the quarterly forecast and business plan
Extract and utilize data from various sources, such as Workday and Adaptive Insights, for reporting and/or analytical purposes
Collaborate with Accounting department to review financial data and propose adjustments
Ad hoc scenario analysis and special projects as requested
Perform various administrative duties

Required

Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Self-starter, highly motivated and detail oriented
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong work ethic, results-oriented, high standard of quality / performance, and innate curiosity

Preferred

Ideal candidate is pursuing an advanced degree in Finance or Accounting
Exposure to financial planning & reporting systems, such as Adaptive Insights and Workday, is a plus
Experience using MS Office, particularly Excel
Experience in sports or media industry is preferred, but not required
