Comrise is seeking a highly detail-oriented Mechanical / Mechatronics Test Engineer to support the testing of fluidics and mechatronics subsystems within their Mechanical Engineering organization. The role involves collaborating with engineering design teams to design test fixtures, develop and execute test plans, analyze results, and communicate findings, all while maintaining a strong focus on quality and documentation.

Responsibilities

Collaborate within a cross-functional team to design and develop mechanical and fluidic test fixtures
Work with design engineers to define test plans and test requirements
Set up, execute, and document mechanical and fluidics subsystem tests
Collect and analyze test data to verify design intent, robustness, and performance
Generate formal test reports and clearly communicate results to engineering teams
Perform 3D CAD modeling and assembly design of test fixtures
Design sheet metal, machined, and 3D-printed components and assemblies
Produce detailed engineering drawings using GD&T and CAD best practices
Support engineering analysis of new and existing designs
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
Ensure test equipment is properly maintained and calibrated per quality standards
Participate in design reviews and technical discussions
Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and management to meet project objectives

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent experience
Minimum 4 years of industry experience in product design, development, testing, and/or manufacturing
Strong technical background in mechanical assemblies involving fluid and motion control
Experience specifying, setting up, and operating data acquisition systems
Hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation, including pressure and force transducers, flow meters, and thermocouples
Proficiency in NX CAD or similar 3D CAD software
Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred

Experience developing LabVIEW code for test fixtures
Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and ASME Y14.5 standards
Experience with additive manufacturing / 3D printing
Familiarity with MATLAB
Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments
