Responsibilities
Responsible for security monitoring, incident investigations and employee awareness programs
Perform initial monitoring activity to establish baselines on user behaviour and data movement
Lead and conduct highly confidential and sensitive investigations often involving employee misconduct, fraud, intellectual property theft, sabotage, espionage and embezzlement
Develop and mature processes, playbooks, workflows, standards, and communication models
Conduct efforts in the proactive identification of new data points and intelligence sources that will reduce and remediate blind spots in monitoring systems and investigative workflows
Work closely with both internal and external security teams and intelligence partners to identify and provide defensive solutions to new and upcoming threats that may impact CBRE
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in one or more of the following: insider risk/threat analysis, data loss prevention strategies and/or digital forensic investigations
Strong understanding of tactics, techniques, and procedures associated with malicious insider risk activity such as espionage, sabotage, intellectual property theft, workplace violence, etc
Proven experience conducting digital investigations in an enterprise network environment utilizing data analytics and forensic tools
Experience leveraging Security Event and Information Management (SIEM), User and Entity Behavioural Analytics (UEBA), Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools for complex analysis and incident reporting
Basic understanding of privacy regulations and requirements associated with data loss incidents
Proven ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast paced environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas in plain language to non-technical audiences
Experience supporting investigations using formal chain-of-custody methods, forensic tools, and industry best practices
Preferred
Prior corporate, law enforcement or government experience in the investigation and mitigation of insider risk incidents and/or security related investigations
Experience with the technical policy creation, implementation and tuning of UBA and SIEM technologies
Current industry recognized information security and forensic certifications such as: CISM, CISSP, GCFE, GCFA, CFCE, EnCE or related
