Responsibilities
Perform complex accounting and cost analyses using independent judgment
Prepare and analyze monthly estimated contractual adjustments, charity, and bad debt
Prepare and file Medicare and Medicaid annual cost reports and settlements
Develop, maintain, and analyze annual operating budgets
Prepare and file Federal, State, and Local tax returns
Support reporting to the State COPN Regulatory Authority
Interpret and communicate federal and state healthcare regulations
Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies, auditors, external consultants, and senior leadership
Manage competing priorities and deadlines in a highly computerized environment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience with budgeting, analysis, and financial statements
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (heavy use of pivot tables and advanced formulas)
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Preferred
Master's Degree in a related field
Prior healthcare accounting/finance experience
