Responsibilities
Conduct deep dive research on assigned applications to determine configuration, authentication method, and data sensitivity (high risk vs. low risk)
Identify business owners using provided contact lists and manage communications to validate ownership
Work with third party vendors to understand how each application supports SSO/MFA and what configuration changes are required
Assess and document the type of data stored within each application (including whether PHI is present)
Create and manage a structured plan of action for each application to ensure secure access provisioning to the right users and teams
Run and build reports, including status and project reports, leveraging Looker (Google Looker) or related reporting tools
Track and communicate program success metrics, risks, milestones, and gaps
Partner with security team to support the organization's broader security posture goals
Support change management, documentation, and process refinement across application teams
Navigate large volumes of unknowns and proactively drive discovery across dozens of applications
Work closely with key stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Strong experience as a Business Analyst supporting identity, access, application onboarding, or IT security initiatives
Hands on knowledge of SSO, MFA, and application authentication workflows
Experience working with application vendors to evaluate configuration requirements
Strong research, investigative, and documentation skills—must be comfortable working through ambiguous information
Ability to analyze application risk (clinical vs. non clinical, PHI vs. non PHI)
Strong project management skills: reporting, tracking milestones, documenting progress, and providing status updates
Proficiency running reports; experience with Looker (Google Looker) preferred
Healthcare industry experience highly preferred
Excellent communication skills—both with technical and non technical stakeholders
Highly detail oriented with strong change management awareness
Comfortable working remote and collaborating across distributed teams
Preferred
Experience with EMR, clinical apps, or healthcare related systems
Familiarity with enterprise security frameworks
Previous experience in large scale application rationalization or access governance projects
