Responsibilities
Manage a full family law caseload independently, including active litigation matters
Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and supporting declarations
Prepare for and represent clients in hearings, temporary orders proceedings, and mediations
Conduct settlement negotiations, evaluate risk, and recommend practical resolution paths
Provide client counseling on strategy, timelines, expectations, and next steps
Coordinate case schedules and ensure deadlines, filings, and court requirements are met
Maintain accurate documentation and case notes using research and case management tools
Collaborate with colleagues when needed while maintaining primary responsibility for assigned matters
Qualification
Required
4–8 years of family law experience (litigation and negotiation experience required)
Licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing
Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and move matters forward efficiently
Strong drafting skills for motions, pleadings, and family law filings
Comfort handling contested hearings, mediation preparation, and settlement advocacy
Proficiency with legal research platforms and case management tools
Excellent communication skills with a professional, client-centered approach
Strong attention to detail, organization, and reliability in a deadline-driven environment
Juris Doctor (JD) degree
Active Texas Bar membership
