Hardware Engineering Intern

Responsibilities

Support the development of test requirements and execute hardware verification plans, including: Board-level functional testing, EMC validation, Certification agency compliance (UL, ATEX, IECEx), Functional safety standards (IEC 61508)
Assist with programming, analysis, and troubleshooting of electronic hardware prototypes, and contribute to product design documentation and detailed test reports
Designing and developing scripts for automated testing
Documenting and executing manual and automated test procedures
Verifying product functionality
Creating test reports
Supporting lab audits and improvement initiatives
Assisting with the build and commissioning of test firmware and hardware platforms

Required

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution
Basic programming skills in one or more of the following: C++, C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, LabVIEW
Fundamental understanding of circuit theory, including microprocessors, digital logic, analog systems, and DC power conversion
Familiarity with programmable devices (CPLDs, FPGAs)
Experience or coursework in power electronics or motors
Ability to read and work with schematic drawings
Exposure to design and modeling tools such as CAD, Creo, SAP, MATLAB, or ERP systems
Knowledge of industrial automation environments (PLC or drive programming preferred)
Understanding of Agile development methodologies
