Commodity Management Professional

Responsibilities
Managing and defining the sourcing strategy in the respective area of responsibility with cross-functional counterparts and support from Global Commodity Management, and in alignment with business
Leading the Commodity Circle in the respective area of responsibility with the support of cross-functional team members
Creating and implementing business-specific initiatives and measures based on respective commodity strategy in alignment with SE Ecosystem strategy and business objectives as demonstrating the commonalities between Large Generators and the product segments Large Steam Turbine and Large Gas Turbine (incl. service), supply chain resilience, product cost reduction, supporting the business growth and India sourcing
Managing the relationship with assigned strategic suppliers, sometimes even beyond the boundaries of the respective area of responsibility. Identifying risks & opportunities and implement respective measures
Completing periodic strategic procurement activities: negotiations planning, commodity strategy updates, awarding strategy and sourcing board approvals, quarterly review meetings, etc
Prepares and individually negotiates framework agreement, price agreements or individual contracts with the suppliers according to the business requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field
A minimum of 8+ years' of collective experience working in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Sourcing, Engineering or similar function in machinery industries
Strong strategic and analytical abilities to quickly grasp challenges and opportunities while formulating overarching solutions
An innovative mentality and a strong motivation to drive positive change as well as excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills
Familiar with SAP, advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
Cost & risk management skills: Mature understanding of multiple aspects of supply chain value stream. Supplier financial risk evaluation & management. Supply Chain Risk evaluation & management
Commercial knowledge, contract law and T&C
Experience managing Long Term Contracts and negotiating complex terms and conditions
Must be able to travel 10-15% both domestically and internationally
Strong interpersonal and time management skills
Proficiency in English, proficiency in German or Chinese is a plus!
