Responsibilities
Analyzing, evaluating, and researching information received from internal and external clients for contracts, amendments and related documents that provide accepted and retroceded reinsurance
Consistently demonstrating a complete understanding of SCOR Life US standard contract clauses and providing a thorough analysis of existing contracts or client prepared documents as they relate to SCOR Life US standard clauses, in accordance with any internal escalation and approval policy(ies)
Generating contracts for reinsurance arrangements in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with established metrics
Consulting, as needed, with management and Law Department regarding the interpretation or clarification of contracts that may impact the company's liability
Utilizing existing systems and procedures and/or establishing new procedures to facilitate the organization and retrieval of documents by and for the Legal department
Identifying, selecting, and implementing legal technology solutions—including AI-powered tools—to automate and optimize contract-related tasks
Accurately responding to inquiries from internal and external clients in a concise, professional and timely manner
Coordinating interaction between marketing actuaries, pricing actuaries, operations and external clients for the efficient and accurate delivery of contracts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred
Outstanding organizational skills and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to both understand the “big picture” and pay attention to detail
Ability and willingness to learn and adopt new tools and technologies, including AI-based platforms
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work effectively within a team environment and to work proactively
Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment; ability to coordinate multiple tasks concurrently
Candidates must have valid authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred
Certificate in Paralegal studies from an accredited institution a plus but not required
(Re)insurance industry experience preferred but not required
3+ years of professional work experience preferred but not required
