Responsibilities
Prepare and coordinate key components of periodic filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission, ensuring adherence to Regulation S-X and S-K
Draft quantitative and qualitative disclosures for the consolidated financial statements and Management’s Discussion & Analysis (MD&A)
Stay abreast of new SEC interpretive releases and staff accounting bulletins, assessing their impact on the company’s reporting requirements
Maintain a robust control environment over the financial reporting cycle, ensuring all workpapers are audit-ready
Perform research on complex transactions (e.g., revenue recognition, equity, or leases) and prepare concise documentation summarizing the accounting treatment
Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new accounting standards, coordinating with various departments to operationalize changes
Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits regarding technical positions and reporting workflows
Help maintain and update the company’s accounting policies to ensure they remain aligned with current GAAP and regulatory trends
Qualification
Required
6–10+ years of progressive accounting experience
A background in a mid-to-large tier public accounting firm (with SEC-registered clients) or a corporate SEC reporting role is preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Active CPA license is required
Strong foundational knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting standards
Experience with SEC reporting software (e.g., Workiva, Toppan Merrill) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
Exceptional technical writing skills with the ability to distill complex regulations into clear, actionable summaries for leadership
