Deals Revenue Recognition Lead, Platforms and Ecosystems
Google is seeking a Deals Revenue Recognition Lead for their Platforms and Ecosystems team. The role involves leading accounting processes, advising on financial reports, and collaborating with global teams to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations.

Responsibilities
Apply technical accounting standards and analyses to program proposals at various stages. Coordinate with business controllers to incorporate operational implications in the Controllership feedback. Maintain a record of all active programs with relevant accounting assessments
Establish and maintain revenue recognition and other accounting policies pertaining to various platforms products within Platforms and Ecosystems (ChromeOS, Chrome Browser, Workspace for EDU)
Collaborate with other technical accountants to ensure standardization and consistency in process, policy and applications
Provide expertise to daily accounting questions within your assigned Product Area and identify and analyze implications of Alphabet-wide policies and new accounting standards
Lead projects aimed at improving financial accuracy, such as periodic PO audits and business team training. Support various reporting needs through tracking and reporting of accounting errors, conventions, agreement commitments, cross-Product Area agreements, etc
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience
7 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 5 years with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance
Experience in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), with a focus on Revenue (ASC 606) Accounting in a public accounting or multinational company setting
Preferred
MBA or Master's degree
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA)
Experience managing project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, and project documentation
Ability to propose next steps and roadblock solutions and anticipate questions and issues early, manage time, and follow work plans
Excellent collaborative and investigative skills and ability to communicate effectively with executive management and work with cross-functional and international teams
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills and focus on continuous improvement
