Responsibilities

Build and manage candidate pipelines through referrals, networking, and community engagement in the Athens area

Identify and attract top talent using digital sourcing, referrals, and professional networks

Conduct initial interviews and candidate screenings

Administer and interpret assessment tools as part of the selection process

Coordinate follow-up interviews and meetings with leadership

Represent Northwestern Mutual at Athens-area networking and community events

Deliver a structured, professional candidate experience from first contact through onboarding

Partner closely with office leadership to execute recruiting initiatives

Maintain accurate candidate records using recruiting and CRM software

Track and analyze recruiting metrics to improve hiring outcomes

Support new hires as they transition into their roles

Assist with recruitment reporting, leadership meetings, and strategic planning

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust quickly

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and recruiting/CRM tools

Preferred

Prior experience in recruiting, sales, staffing, HR, business development, or networking roles preferred

Well-connected in the Athens business or professional community
