AI Engineer- Level III
Seneca Resources is seeking a Senior AI Engineer (Level III) to support enterprise Human Resources Technology Systems through advanced AI-driven automation, analytics, and system modernization initiatives. This role will focus on assessing existing application environments, identifying opportunities for artificial intelligence and automation, and designing scalable, high-impact solutions that improve efficiency, decision-making, and system performance.

Responsibilities
Assess current HRTS application architecture to identify gaps and opportunities for AI, automation, and analytics
Design and recommend AI-driven solutions, including system enhancements, integrations, and process improvements
Develop and implement AI models and algorithms to support HR and workforce-related use cases
Support software modernization initiatives across enterprise platforms
Create and maintain project documentation, including project plans, timelines, solution designs, and status reports
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and technical partners to ensure alignment and successful delivery
Communicate technical concepts and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Operate independently while ensuring deliverables meet quality, performance, and security standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
If the degree is not in a directly related field, four (4) additional years of relevant experience may be substituted
8–12 years of overall relevant IT experience
3–5 years of hands-on experience in AI engineering, analytics, or AI-enabled software development
Proven experience developing and deploying AI models and algorithms in enterprise environments
Strong software development experience using Python
Strong software development experience using Java-based platforms
Strong software development experience using GitHub or similar version control tools
Working knowledge of enterprise systems and platforms such as Oracle Forms/Reports
Working knowledge of enterprise systems and platforms such as SAP ERP
Working knowledge of enterprise systems and platforms such as WebSphere
Working knowledge of enterprise systems and platforms such as Apache Tomcat
Experience performing system assessments, gap analysis, and solution recommendations
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
