This role is critical in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget through disciplined controls and proactive risk management.

Responsibilities
Standardize project controls tools, templates, and best practices across Company projects
Ensure compliance with internal controls, contract requirements, and reporting standards
Mentor project teams on controls discipline and project execution consistency
Monitor schedule progress and identify risks to delivery timelines
Establish project budgets, cost baselines, and cost tracking systems
Monitor project expenditures, commitments, and earned value performance
Provide accurate cost forecasts and variance analysis to leadership
Produce weekly and monthly project controls reports including schedule, cost, productivity, and risk metrics
Provide executive-level dashboards and KPIs for project health and portfolio performance
Support client reporting requirements when applicable
Ensure change impacts are documented and communicated clearly to stakeholders
Identify potential cost and schedule risks early and recommend mitigation strategies
Support contingency planning and scenario forecasting
Lead cost and schedule evaluation of scope changes, change orders, and project adjustments
Monitor all financial aspects of projects, including budget setup, tracking and billing of projects
Maintain meticulous cost estimating tools including databases, spreadsheets, and other computer-based applications to keep up dated information on past performance and industry standards
Review project manager’s projection and cost data in preparation for project reviews
Assist project manager in identifying trends on the project for more informed decision making
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or related field
5+ years of experience in project controls, scheduling, cost management, or project management within energy, industrial services, or construction
Strong proficiency in project controls tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, Power BI, or similar)
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and schedule performance
Experience supporting field-based energy services or industrial projects
Familiarity with contract structures, change orders, and earned value management
