Training Specialist

Responsibilities

Evaluate training needs and make recommendations for training programs through observation, management and staff discussions, employee surveys, and other relevant resources
Develop and administer training programs, including classroom training, shadowing, and e-learning, for current staff and new hires
Create training activities that foster interactive participation and use of current technologies
Conduct workshops on new products, policies, and procedures for all staff roles
Update training materials for all staff roles as needed
Assist in developing and implementing procedure manuals for various operational areas
Create, administer, and evaluate competency tests for all staff roles
Maintain accurate employee training records
Research and evaluate training methods and content to identify improvements and new opportunities
Stay informed about trends and best practices in training through ongoing professional development, including reading, courses, seminars, and networking
Evaluate and coordinate outsourced training programs and vendors to supplement internal offerings
Contribute to the development and execution of Argent’s Annual All Staff Development Day
Demonstrate proficiency with the credit union Intranet
Actively participate in staff meetings to stay aware of organizational initiatives, promotions, policies, and compliance issues, and suggest improvements
Pursue ongoing personal and professional development through internal and external resources
Collaborate as a team member to achieve the credit union’s mission and goals
Maintain a professional work environment and appearance
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
