The role involves shadowing a Construction Coordinator, coordinating onsite activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
Shadow a Construction Coordinator as they provide oversight of job site construction management
Assist in the oversight of job site construction management to assure projects are managed effectively and the company’s needs are being met
Assist with coordinating onsite construction activities between the owner, engineer, contractor, and other involved parties
Observe contractor work practices and notify the project lead construction coordinator of any practices that appear to be non-compliant with the contract documents
Assist in the Request for Information (RFI) and Change Order Request (COR) process execution on assigned projects
Review contractor reports for performance on safety, quality, progress, and cost
Attend project meetings to review project achievements and deficiencies
Adhere to BEPC Construction Management policies and procedures as they materialize
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Be at least 18 years of age
Be enrolled as a full-time student in a two year construction management program or related discipline with at least one year completed or recent graduate (within the past 12 months)
OR Be enrolled as a full-time student in a four year construction management, construction, civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering (EAC/ABET accredited) program or related discipline with at least two years completed or recent graduate (within the past 12 months)
Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5
Hold a valid driver's license
Transcript required at time of application
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Research and analytical thinking
Microsoft Office proficiency
Organization and attention to detail
Data entry and recordkeeping
Team collaboration
Initiative and adaptability
Confidentiality and professionalism
Fieldwork or technical hands-on aptitude (where applicable)
