Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Trading Manager (Country/Region) in defining the desk strategy, focusing on meeting internal and external customers’ needs and complying with the risk and regulatory requirements
Support unit traders in giving counterparty service in to client’s requests submitted by the Sales team, collaborating closely in offering tailor-made as well as plain vanilla derivatives adapted to clients’ needs. Quote complex transactions in terms of risk, managing the proper approvals for operations that exceed given risk limits. Promote the excellence in the service offered to the clients
Supervise the Trading Flow desk book’s aggregate hedging, driving the hedging strategy to ensure that the desk global risk exposure is balanced and maintaining the risks within the acceptable/ allowed limits - Monitor the market continuously, ensuring that the trading parameters of the valuation models that manage the unit traders are aligned to market conditions
Supervise the desk daily closing processes, tracking the desk activity and main trading indicators (positions, greeks, market parameters , hit/ miss, leverage, etc.). Assist traders in explaining the P&L deviation (if any) and with trade reconciliation and/ or discrepancies
Lead the desk coordination, delegating tasks amongst his/ her team based on their product specialization, seniority and workload. Follow up and supervision of all on-going trading activity
Coordinate the update of the unit´s product parameters in the databases to be used by all Global Market traders in pricing. Collaborate with other Equity Trading desks in updating the product trading handbook, framework and pricing rules documentation
Generate recurrent income, complying with the hit/ miss target set for the trading desk under his/ her responsibility. Monitor the the Trading Flow EQ unit desk results
Liaise alongside with other Trading desks in order to mainstream the product market knowledge and generate trading synergies in the operations’ profitability and risk
Encourage the coordination with the Structuring teams to develop and structure EQ derivatives products tailored to clients’ needs
Drive the development of new valuation models together with Quants, focusing on calibrating and understanding the model performance
Coordinate and monitor the approval and definition of contracts for new underlying/ products with Risks and Legal units respectively. Assist Quants in requesting the risk approval to new valuation models
Ensure that the desk activity comply with both internal and external operational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with Policies & Procedures CIB for the operating procedures update and support Internal Control CIB in monitoring the compliance with the established trading framework
Introduce the Trading Flow trading activity (procedures, systems, market position, etc.) to both internal and external clients
Participate in the strategic and pipeline committees of the Global Product units
