The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is seeking a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist in Richmond, VA. This role involves supervising a team in the Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS/HFC) Division and advising on planning, acquisition, distribution, and systems support issues related to the management of the DoD ODS/HFC Reserve.

Responsibilities

Serves as the Supervisor of the team in the Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS/HFC) Division
Serves as the principal advisor to DoD/DLA functional managers, the DLA Aviation Commander and Directors on planning, acquisition, distribution and systems support issues as they pertain to management of the DOD ODS/HFC Reserve
Organizes, directs and evaluates the DOD ODS/HFC Reserve Program which encompasses all aspects of the DLA supply system
Responsible for validating Services’ mission critical needs and computing DOD ODS/HFC program requirements
Develops and defines DoD/DLA policy, plans, procedures and parameters for maintaining a reserve of DOD ODS/HFC
Provides oversight, technical advice and support for acquisition strategies and planning

Mission Essential - RPA Designation: This requires you to work during an emergency to ensure continuation of essential functions. You may be required to work at the designated duty location, a telework site, or an alternate location
One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is directly in or related to this position
To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector
Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement
Creditable specialized experience includes: Technical knowledge of ozone depleting chemicals and compounds and their applications
Experience in implementing process controls to ensure compliance with international agreements regarding DOD ODS/HFC such as the Montreal Protocol
Comprehensive knowledge of supply, acquisition, storage operations, and weapon systems applications
Thorough knowledge of military command structure, missions, programs, war fighting hardware and how it operates, and organizational relationships
