Responsibilities

Lead electrical engineering projects, including review of specs, drawings, and onsite implementation
Execute and supervise high-voltage switching plans, outages, and preventative maintenance strategies
Perform arc flash studies, relay coordination, and power system analysis to enhance performance and safety
Provide technical support to field teams, including Root Cause Analysis, documentation, training, and guidance on HV systems
Interface with Procurement and Construction teams on equipment testing, compliance, and engineering consultation
Monitor system trends, manage reporting, and support audits, data analysis, and continual process improvement
Ensure adherence to industry standards and NERC compliance, serving as SME for substation maintenance and fault analysis

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited); Master's degree may substitute for experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in power plant or utility operations & maintenance
Familiarity with electrical theory, high-voltage switching, and protective relay systems (SEL, GE Multilin)
Demonstrated experience with NERC compliance, safety leadership, and technical documentation
Excellent communicator, capable of training others and presenting complex technical info effectively
Physically able to climb 300 ft ladders, work in diverse environments, and lift up to 50 lbs
Proficient with Microsoft Office and digital tools; P.E. license and Spanish fluency are a plus
Willingness to travel up to 25% to domestic and international locations; valid driver's license and passport required
