$135K/yr - $150K/yrB&H Photo Video is seeking an Applications Administrator for Third-Party Applications to manage and support off-the-shelf products within their ecosystem. The role involves overseeing the lifecycle of applications, ensuring compliance with security standards, and collaborating with various teams for integration and optimization.

Responsibilities
Serve as the primary administrator for multiple third-party applications
Oversee the full lifecycle of TPA systems, including onboarding, integration, upgrade management, optimization, and decommissioning
Ensure all applications meet B&H security, compliance, and technical standards
Gather and analyze business and technical requirements for new applications and enhancement requests
Evaluate compatibility of new software with B&H’s infrastructure, data flows, and operational needs
Lead application rollout efforts including planning, configuration, testing, documentation, and user onboarding
Coordinate with architectural, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth and compliant integrations
Investigate and resolve application, data, workflow, and network-related issues
Manage assigned support tickets and ensure timely and accurate resolution
Provide after-hours or weekend support when required for system emergencies or planned maintenance
Design and implement monitoring, reporting, and configuration management capabilities (uptime, performance, error logs)
Ensure high availability and reliability for all supported applications
Maintain accurate documentation in Confluence, SharePoint, and JIRA, including:
Configuration details
Integration diagrams
Support procedures
Best practices
Runbooks & SOPs
Develop risk assessments, project plans, and contingency plans for new implementations
Ensure all applications comply with B&H security policies, access standards, and data governance requirements
Coordinate with InfoSec for vendor evaluations, vulnerability management, and access reviews
Conduct ongoing evaluation of software vendors and tools, including contract reviews and renewal cycles
Coordinate with vendors for troubleshooting, escalations, upgrades, and feature improvements
Provide recommendations on new tools and opportunities for optimization
Partner closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to understand needs and improve product usage
Mentor and cross-train team members on supported applications and emerging technologies
Build strong working relationships across departments and function as a trusted advisor
Participate in rollout and deployment management for application updates
Support large-scale server or system installations when relevant to TPA products
Execute special projects at leadership’s direction
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Strong system administration experience across Linux, Windows, and SaaS/cloud platforms
Experience administering and supporting commercial off-the-shelf (COTS/TPA) software
Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across servers, networks, databases, and integrations
Proficiency with Windows Server and Active Directory
Proficiency with Group Policy configuration
Proficiency with IIS administration
Proficiency with application server management
Proficiency with deployment & rollout processes
Proficiency with LAN/WAN fundamentals
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to clarify ambiguous technical situations
Strong communication skills for documenting business and technical requirements
Outstanding organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Positive, self-motivated, and able to work independently or collaboratively
Strong relationship-building and cross-functional teamwork abilities
