Responsibilities
Mechanical design of components and assemblies using CAD
Design of sheet metal, weldments, machined parts, and multi-part assemblies
Creation of drawings, BOMs, and release packages with a strong DFM mindset
Support prototype builds, assembly, and manufacturing troubleshooting
Work directly with suppliers, machinists, and fabrication partners
Participate in design reviews and technical risk assessments (FMEA)
Qualification
Required
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
2+ years of experience in mechanical design of hardware systems
Strong CAD skills (SolidWorks, NX, CATIA, or similar)
Practical understanding of manufacturing processes and GD&T
Engineers who want ownership of real hardware through build and production
