Responsibilities
Manage and maintain a portfolio of commercial accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnership
Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts and grow your book of business through referrals, upselling, and targeted prospecting
Conduct regular on-site visits to client locations for service evaluations, relationship building, and solution-based consultations
Understand each customer’s operational needs and recommend customized waste management solutions that add value and support their business goals
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, proactively addressing service concerns and coordinating with internal teams to resolve issues efficiently
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, account activity, and growth opportunities within the CRM system; provide updates and forecasts to leadership
Work closely with operations, customer service, and billing teams to ensure seamless service delivery and exceed customer expectations
Qualification
Required
Previous experience in account management, outside sales, or a customer-facing field role is preferred but not required. A strong desire to learn and grow is essential
Proven ability to develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with customers, internal teams, and partners
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present solutions and navigate client conversations
Ability to work independently in the field, manage multiple accounts, prioritize tasks, and meet retention and growth goals
Skilled at identifying challenges and delivering practical, customer-focused solutions
Comfortable managing a dynamic schedule in a role that requires 50–75% travel
Comfortable using CRM software, email, and Microsoft Office tools to manage accounts and track performance
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Willingness to travel 50–75% of the time within the assigned territory
Preferred
Experience in waste management or a similar service-based industry is a plus
