Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain complex Python-based applications and services
Build and integrate APIs, with a focus on secure and scalable data exchange
Translate complex business requirements into user stories, technical designs, and workable software solutions
Break down large initiatives into well-defined tasks, providing accurate effort estimates and delivery timelines
Collaborate with product owners and business users to clarify requirements and resolve technical questions
Develop and optimize SQL queries and data structures to support application functionality
Work with datamarts and data warehouses to support reporting and operational needs
Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance, and IT security requirements
Support testing, deployment, and code migration across environments, following established design, coding, and source control standards
Lead or participate in design reviews and code walkthroughs as both contributor and reviewer
Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
Transfer knowledge to support teams and contribute to long-term maintainability of solutions
Apply Human Performance tools and best practices during development, testing, and implementation activities
Qualification
Required
Highly skilled Python Application Developer
Design, build, and integrate robust applications with a strong emphasis on Python development
API integration expertise
SQL expertise
Hands-on Python development experience
Strong understanding of APIs
Ability to work with datamarts and data warehouses
Collaborate closely with product owners and business stakeholders
Design, develop, and maintain complex Python-based applications and services
Build and integrate APIs with a focus on secure and scalable data exchange

Experience connecting and integrating disparate systems
Data modeling experience
Bachelor's degree
Preferred
Fortra Tripwire API experience strongly preferred
