Responsibilities
Support payment performance analysis and recommend changes to routing logic, payment methods, currencies, and other levers to improve authorization rates
Maintain and continuously improve dashboards and KPIs related to approval rates, chargebacks, processing costs, and healthy MID distribution
Monitor and analyze VAMP ratios, chargeback rates, and authorization performance to inform improvement of overall transaction outcomes
Continuously refine, test, and improve routing, retry logic, and failover paths, in partnership with senior stakeholders and engineering teams
Stay current on evolving payment regulations, fraud trends, and industry technologies to proactively identify risks and optimization opportunities
Leverage the company’s payment orchestration platform to optimize routing and processor performance
Support the evolution toward greater internal ownership and control of the payment stack, including in-house routing, smart re-tries and processor failover logic
Contribute analytical input to decisions around processor configuration, orchestration strategy and payment architecture improvements
Act as a subject matter expert for payment optimization, advising stakeholders on performance trends, risks, and best practices
Deliver regular performance reports and actionable recommendations to support data-driven decision-making across the organization
Partner closely with Fraud, Compliance and Engineering teams to ensure effective integration and performance of fraud prevention, risk, and compliance tools
Qualification
Required
2 – 5+ years of experience in merchant acquiring, payment processing or related fintech roles, with demonstrated growth and increasing responsibility
Experience working with multi-PSP and/or multi-acquirer payment environments
Strong understanding of payment gateways, transaction processing and routing concepts
Exposure to MID management, acquirer performance monitoring, and chargeback or VAMP metrics
Familiarity with payment optimization tools such as 3DS, tokens, account updater, and related technologies
Strong analytical mindset, with experience interpreting data and KPIs to drive decisions
Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, global, remote-first environment with evolving priorities
