Workday Platform Administrator

Responsibilities

Performs regular system checks to make sure Workday is working properly, viewing logs and issues to keep the system reliable and compliant
Sets up and maintains security features, including user access, login tools, and audit records to protect data
Builds and updates Workday processes and workflows to help automate tasks and improve efficiency
Manages Workday feature updates, including testing changes, working with staff, and preparing for system releases
Maintains system setup, including security rules, business processes, and other configuration items, while keeping documentation updated
Provides advanced technical support for problems that cannot be solved by others, including fixing integration or data issues
Works with HR, Finance, Student, and IT teams to understand needs and translate them into practical Workday solutions along with providing training as needed
Coordinates with IT teams on updates, identity management, and any network needs related to Workday
Writes and updates system documents, procedures, diagrams, and recovery plans
Works with Workday and outside vendors for support cases, patches, and system improvements
Suggests new features or improvements to make the system faster, safer, and easier to use
Tracks and reports system performance, usage, and issue trends to IT leadership
Performs other related duties as assigned

Required

The formal education equivalent of an associate degree in computer science, mathematics, information systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Four years of experience working with Workday or a similar system
Two years of experience in a lead functional or technical position
Basic understanding of Workday administration, security setup, and system features
Ability to review issues, analyze problems, and solve technical challenges
Skill in building and improving workflows and system processes
Experience with ServiceNow, basic scripting, and data-related tasks
Ability to organize tasks, lead others, and work well with multiple departments
Strong communication skills for explaining technical information in simple terms and writing clear documentation
Ability to stay current with Workday updates and best practices
