In this role, you will work closely with firmware architects and domain-specific validation teams to define end-to-end test strategies and develop comprehensive regression test suites focused on AMD Server-class EPYC CPUs.

Responsibilities

Partner with firmware architects and domain validation engineers to understand new and evolving firmware features
Define and implement platform-level, end-to-end test flows across boot and runtime scenarios
Develop detailed regression test cases and test procedures aligned with automation and CI requirements
Ensure test designs are automation-friendly and compatible with existing or new validation frameworks
Execute tests, debug failures across firmware, platform, automation, and infrastructure layers
Collaborate with development teams to drive root cause analysis and defect resolution
Contribute to test strategy, coverage analysis, and system-level feature interaction validation
Participate in test infrastructure enhancements to improve coverage, efficiency, and reporting
Role focus: 80% Test Execution, 20% Test Content Creation

Required

Minimum 6+ years of experience in firmware or software development/validation
Strong knowledge of pre-silicon and post-silicon firmware/system test environments
Proven debugging expertise at SoC (System-on-Chip) and system level
Solid understanding of computer architecture and enterprise server platform features
Prior experience with embedded firmware
Proficiency in C, C++ , and scripting languages such as Python, Perl , or similar
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline

Preferred

Experience or strong working knowledge in BIOS fundamentals (ACPI, SMBIOS tables)
RAS (Reliability, Availability, Serviceability) features and validation
Memory subsystem validation (DDR, persistent memory, error injection)
Power management and telemetry
Platform security (TPM, Secure Boot, SPDM, RoT-based attestation)
Virtualization and firmware enablement (ACPI, SR-IOV)
High-speed I/O validation (PCIe, CXL)
Sideband protocols: MCTP, SPDM, PLDM, RDE
