Business Development Manager
Addison Group is seeking a driven Business Development Manager to help grow a fast-moving engineering services firm in Texas. This outside sales role focuses on building relationships and managing the full business development process to scale revenue in the construction and engineering sectors.
Responsibilities
Generate new business through networking, client meetings, and outbound outreach
Build and manage a sales pipeline from first contact to close
Represent the firm at industry events, associations, and client meetings
Develop relationships with GCs, architects, developers, and franchise groups
Track activity, document efforts, and work within existing systems and processes
Provide pipeline visibility and contribute to revenue growth strategy
Qualification
Required
3–4+ years of successful outside sales or business development experience
Comfortable selling services (not products) in a relationship-driven environment
Self-starter mentality with strong follow-through and discipline
Comfortable working independently while aligning closely with leadership
Willing to be on-site 1x per week (DFW-based role)
Preferred
Experience selling into construction, engineering, architecture, or related services
Ability to speak the language of construction and engineering
