Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and manage custodial projects across educational facilities (classrooms, restrooms, gyms, cafeterias, dorms, and administrative buildings)
Lead and supervise custodial supervisors and staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management
Manage special projects such as deep cleaning, floor care programs, summer cleanouts, event setup/teardown, and post-construction cleaning
Ensure compliance with school district, state, and federal health, safety, and sanitation standards
Develop project timelines, staffing plans, and work scopes to meet academic calendars and operational deadlines
Conduct regular inspections and quality audits to maintain cleanliness and service standards
Coordinate with facilities, maintenance, vendors, and school leadership on project needs and priorities
Monitor supply usage, equipment maintenance, and custodial budgets
Address service issues, respond to urgent needs, and implement corrective action plans
Prepare reports on project progress, staffing, safety incidents, and quality metrics
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred)
3–5 years of custodial or facilities management experience, preferably in an educational or institutional setting
Prior experience managing custodial teams and large-scale cleaning projects
Strong knowledge of custodial processes, equipment, chemicals, and safety procedures
Ability to manage multiple projects across multiple buildings or campuses
Preferred
Experience in K–12 school districts, colleges, or universities
Knowledge of infection control standards, green cleaning practices, and OSHA guidelines
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
