SVP, Clinical Operations

Samaritan is a leading not-for-profit provider of home-based primary care, palliative care, hospice care, and grief support services. They are seeking an SVP of Clinical Operations to provide executive leadership and oversight of hospice clinical operations, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with standards.

Responsibilities

Provide executive leadership and oversight of hospice clinical operations across all care settings, including long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs)
Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient- and family-centered care through strong clinical leadership, interdisciplinary collaboration, and operational excellence
Lead and oversee quality, compliance, clinical systems, and social services functions to support safe, effective, and compliant care delivery
Ensure organizational compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation for Hospice and Joint Commission standards
Provide direct oversight of the Director of Quality & Compliance and drive continuous quality improvement initiatives across clinical operations
Oversee performance improvement initiatives utilizing structured quality improvement methodologies, such as FADE, to evaluate outcomes and drive improvement
Lead monthly hospice operations meetings to support communication, issue resolution, and evaluation of clinical and operational outcomes
Collaborate closely with executive leadership to develop and implement clinical strategy, growth initiatives, and operational planning
Participate as an active member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing to organizational leadership and decision-making
Support budgeting, workforce planning, and leadership development initiatives within clinical operations
Maintain strong internal and external relationships, including interdisciplinary teams, referral partners, and community stakeholders
Serve on clinical and administrative committees as appropriate
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Registered Nurse (RN) required
BSN required
Seven (7) to ten (10) years of nursing experience, including at least three (3) years of progressive leadership experience
Demonstrated knowledge of hospice regulations, accreditation standards, and quality improvement practices
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to lead organizational change and foster collaboration

Preferred

MSN preferred
Prior leadership experience in hospice and/or long-term care is strongly preferred
