Sr Supervisor, Quality Inspection - 2nd Shift (Onsite)

Responsibilities
Supervise the daily activities of Quality Inspectors to ensure adherence to established department, organization, and customer specification parameters
Provide leadership, direction, and support to a large team of quality inspectors, ensuring high performance and productivity
Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and performance metrics
Collaborate with internal customers to identify required resources and assist in developing inspection plans to balance workloads and ensure effective use of resources
Coordinate with multiple functions, including Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain, to resolve inspection issues and streamline processes
Ensure that inspectors have the necessary tools, equipment, and training to perform their tasks effectively and efficiently
Maintain Quality Management System (QMS) documents for the inspection department, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with industry standards
Implement ongoing training programs to keep the team updated on new inspection techniques, tools, and industry standards
Utilize Lean methodologies and continuous improvement tools to enhance inspection processes and reduce waste
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and excellence within the team
Ensure adherence to AS9100 / AS9102 standards and other relevant industry standards
Conduct audits and inspections to verify compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
Manage non-conformance reports and implement corrective actions to address quality issues
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Preferred
Previous leadership experience managing 30+ direct reports
Background in Aerospace Manufacturing Quality
Familiarity with AS9100 / AS9102 standards
Previous experience in Quality Systems and Lean methodologies
Strong knowledge of Collins Workmanship Standards requirements
