IT Director/CIO
City of Largo is seeking an innovative Information Technology Director to shape and drive the City’s technology vision. Develops and implements strategy as it relates to the organization's IT infrastructure

Sets clear direction and empowers team
Develops, recommends and implements innovative solutions using our Strategic Plan as a roadmap
Maintains currency in emerging IT trends and dominate technologies
Establishes organizational standards with regard to computer hardware, software, and networks
Develops operating and capital budgets and monitors expenditures
Sets achievable goals and objectives for department
Monitors performance and capacity of employees and ensures compliance with City rules, regulations, safety policies and standards
Provides timely, direct, and actionable feedback
Works independently and collaboratively across departmental lines to help facilitate innovative problem solving
Supports honest and transparent decision-making
Collaborates with all team members in a way that builds upon ideas and takes personal accountability and ownership of projects, roles, and assignments
Openly exhibits a positive attitude, in words and action, and encourages others to do the same
Performs related work as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred) in Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, IT Management, Project Management, Business or Public Administration and seven (7) years of proven experience as an IT Director or similar role, preferably in a government setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in successfully leading IT organizational change including transition from in-house application development to adoption of Enterprise applications or commercial off-the-shelf products
Valid Driver's License

Comfortably deals with complex concepts and ambiguity
Customer focused, delivering a high level of service which meet the needs and requirements of each department/division
Excellent written and verbal communications
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, officials, department directors, and the general public
Demonstrated ability to consider all feedback and be open, flexible, and forward thinking regarding problem or issue resolution
Demonstrated ability to lead and bring people together to achieve common operational and organization goals
Working knowledge of all aspects of an IT organization including data center management, on premise and cloud computing, database, networking and business automation
Working knowledge of sources of information related to problems of local government
Preferred
Chief Information Officer (CIO) or Certified Government Chief Information Officer (CGCIO) certifications preferred
Track record of continued professional development and planning and overseeing staff professional development
